We received an urgent request from Basil’s mom. Poor Basil was out for a walk with her owner and was attacked by another dog that was off leash and came out of nowhere. Basil was taken to a vet and at first all they did was stitch up her eye closed…It became really swollen, and it was clear that Basil was in constant pain. Basil was taken to another vet and it was determined that the best thing was to remove Basil’s eye. The surgery was $2,000. Basil is now on the road to recovery. Her mom stated, “She’s doing phenomenal! She’s acting like nothing ever happened. She’s back to her playful little self. Except she is terrified of big dogs”
