Jack was very sick. He had a distended abdomen and is drinking a lot of water and peeing a lot. The vet did blood work, an ultrasound and urinalysis. Thank You to everyone who donated for Jack. Jack was seen by the vet at Buena Vet in Ventura. They did many tests and some they didn’t even charge for like an ultrasound. The prognosis for poor Jack was grave. He was having neurological issues and his body doesn’t know when to urinate. The only solution would have been to have a permanent catheter, which is uncomfortable, painful and risks infection. After much discussion with the vet and the owner given the age of the dog, it was decided to send Jack home with his owner for a few days of spoiling and then to humanely euthanize him. This is never the answer we want, but we do not want Jack to suffer any longer. Even though the cost was over 600$ Furry Funding believes every animal deserves a chance. Run free sweet Jack !!!
