We received a call from McNeil Vet that Spanky needed treatment.
It looked like the dog got bit by something, got injured running into something, or had a spider bite. It had a small puncture like wound on the neck that had turned into a hotspot by the dog scratching it. There was some fluid draining too. The dog had a fever and lots of swelling and cellulitis and it was heading towards becoming an abscess.
The owner stated that “Our mom just passed away, their car caught fire, and they received 90 day notice to move out, and now she had to be admitted to the hospital.” They are in a hard position, and their pup needed help too.
