This sweet dog is Bela and was in critical need of a splenectomy. She had a huge mass on her spleen. The worst part is her dad is homeless and Bela is everything to him. One rescue, which I won’t name wanted to put her down, but Christina at Paw Works contacted us and together we got her the medical help she needed.
The best part is the tests came back and it is NOT cancer. We were not able to raise all the money needed for the surgery, so Bela’s dad will be working off the balance at the Paw Works facility. This is a great example when rescues come together, we can do hard things and make a difference in the life of the dog and the owner.
