Dog Days Search and Rescue was alerted about this handsome boy roaming a neighborhood and hillside in Westlake Village for almost two weeks. It took a lot of blood sweat and tears from the team to get this baby safe but after 4 days they finally got him. He was beyond exhausted, had some pretty sore feet and was underweight but he was just sweet as pie. One of the kids in the neighborhood named him Captain.
Captain went into a foster home where he was able to get much needed rest and a visit to the vet as his ears were sensitive and seem to be bothering him, along with his sore feet. After his stray hold was up his foster family just couldn’t let him go! They fell in love with Captain (now known as Duke) the moment they saw his picture and read his story. Captain is loving life again, gaining weight back he lost while out in the hills and just doing great! He is actually a big goofball you can’t help but love! He now has a family that adores him and a furry brother and sister to play with.
