Carlitos is 8 years old and was suffering from severe dental infections and was living in in constant pain. He is an emotional support animal and provides daily comfort for his owner that lives with a permanent disability.
She is on a very limited Social Security income and could not afford the $1,300–$1,500 needed for his dental surgery, which includes extractions and cleaning under sedation. Without this treatment, his infection and pain will only get worse.
We were able to get Carlitos into the vet for the dental and it was so much worse than originally quoted. It ended up being almost double, but we couldn’t turn back and had to do what was right for Carlitos. “He is doing so much better he started playing with his soft toy once in awhile going on his walks eating taking his medications he is almost done with one its only for 7 days his gabapentin is for 2 weeks his stitches will dissolve on their own they gave me a little container with his teeth they pulled I can’t thank you enough for what you have done for my baby carlitos and Dr Slaton you are all so amazing,”
