Not all stories have a happy ending. Even though Dudley spent 24 hours at VSEC in the emergency, and Furry Funding and Buena Vet were standing by to help if he needed surgery, This is the message we received in the morning. “He developed fluid around his lungs and heart – at first the dr said it could be virus or bacterial infection so antibiotics were given but no improvement overnight or morning with antibiotics – then they believe Dudley was one of the unlucky young cats that developed lymphoma and it spread in his body which was cause all his levels to be out of whack. He wasn’t breathing normal (very fast) wasn’t able to hold his weight.
For his quality of life and to be fair for him instead of putting him through more tests for a chance for him to pull through. Humanely Euthanizing him down was the best choice for Dudley.”
We are all devastated. Our love goes to Dudley’s owners. Run free sweet Dudley.
