| Luna had a hematoma on her left ear for awhile. Her ear is no longer standing up right and is folded down at all times. It is sensitive to the touch and seems to be getting bigger/puffier by the day.
Luna is owned by a young man that provides full time care of his mother that has dementia. He originally took Luna to Somis Veterinary Hospital. They originally said Luna did not need a surgery and stated the hematoma would go away with time and prescribed antibiotics, pain killers and medication for her liver (Clavamox , Ursodiol tablets and Gabapentin). Two weeks later, Luna completed the course of antibiotics, stopped taking the pain medication and continued taking the liver medicine. Luna’s ear continued to be engorged and sensitive to the touch. Luna’s owner went back to Dr Singh, and he asked the owner if he still wanted to do the surgery, he then proceeded to tell him he did not do surgeries in their office but he knew a guy that could do it, no name was given! The owner was concerned because Luna still does not want her ear touched and not trusting the other vet, as well as running out of money with the other vet, they reached out to Furry Funding for help. Furry Funding had her seen by another vet and unfortunately because of the time, she will permanently have a disfigured ear. We confirmed she is not in pain anymore and it is just cosmetic. Her owner loves her no matter what.
