Mae Mae’s owner is originally from Oklahoma and is currently living in a sober living home in Thousand Oaks. Since moving here in September 2025, she has had very few resources and no family nearby to turn to for help.
When her dog injured her leg, she reached out to Furry Funding for assistance. She was not exactly sure what happened, but she believes someone may have accidentally stepped on her. She waited four days to see if it got better, but it didn’t show any signs of improvement. We couldn’t leave her in pain, so we sent her to the vet. We spent $368 to get her fixed up. Thank goodness it wasn’t broken and after medication and rest, Mae Mae is doing much better.
