This sweet 5-month-old puppy was in a heartbreaking situation. She was in a home where she was neglected and abused—at one point, she was even thrown from a height. Her injury was ignored, and she was left to suffer. A good Samaritan saw what was happening and couldn’t turn away. She convinced the owner to let her take her, and as soon as she could, she brought her to the vet.
You could see the pain in her eyes. She could barely walk, but still wagged her tail when someone spoke kindly to her. She spent $890 on exams and X-rays, hoping it wasn’t too serious—but the news was devastating: her knee is fractured, and because she wasn’t treated right away, The vet was recommending surgery. That surgery was estimated at $4,500.
The puppy was given anti-inflammatory and pain meds and kept quiet. The puppy began putting weight on the leg and is doing much better. The vet decided that because of it being an old injury, and the puppy seems to be recovering without surgery, the owner has opted to not do the surgery and not put her through more suffering. She is even running and playing now. Happy Life sweet girl.
