Ziggy is a sweet 9-year-old Pit Bull lady. She and her person have been living in their car. Her person has had her since she was a puppy. Ziggy developed a tumor in her mouth and needed oral surgery to save her life. The original estimate was $2,400, but the vet at American Pet Hospital in Simi Valley knocked off $400 if we could raise the rest. Furry Funding along with several wonderful donors, Buddy Nation, and Pets of the Homeless we were able to raise the $2,000 needed to get Ziggy her surgery.

Ziggy came through her surgery and is doing well. Her mouth problems turned out to be severe gingivitis, a gum condition where the gums harden and swell, covering the teeth.. It is caused by a bacterial infection and is treatable.
Ziggy’s person said she can now see Ziggy’s teeth and her breath is sweet. Ziggy is on the mend and we again thank the generous people who contributed toher surgery.
