A nice woman contacted us and this of what she told is. “ I went to visit a friend at their house and noticed the dog’s tail was broken and Sadie was obviously in a lot of pain. My friend said it could have been one of the sons had accidentally stepped on it or a chair rolled over it. They didn’t know exactly how it happened. They didn’t even try to take her to a vet.
That was three days before my visit. I told my friend the dog must see a vet, immediately. She said she didn’t have money for a vet and that I could take her dog and keep her, because it would be better for the dog. I took Sadie to a vet, but he wanted $500 just to clean the tail and disinfect it, but as I’m a senior on a fixed income, I told him I didn’t have the money. I tried “Care Credit,” but didn’t qualify and had no other means. The first vet said, “Bring her back when you have the money.” But I knew Sadie’s condition was getting desperate, because the damaged area of her tail was black.
Thats when she contacted Furry Funding and we got her into Buena Vet and Dr. Ohm saw her after hours. It was determined that the tail should be docked above the break and necrosis.

The new owner has committed to Sadie that she will care for her after the surgery and for the rest of her life. she agreed with her previous owner that she will take full responsibility for her from now on, so nothing like this will ever happen to her again.
Her surgery was completed and now she is on the road to recover and a happy life. Her new owner said, “I’m so thankful and grateful to furry funding for saving her.”
