Groot needed our help!!!! ! He is a very loving and affectionate 2 year old boy. Groot is a rescue, and as a small kitten, he had unfortunately been slammed in a car door by someone. When they first got him, he couldn’t use his back two legs, he had vertigo, and obviously has a mild TBI. Despite these struggles Groot has grown into a big (maybe a little on the chubbier side) but normal cat. He is very sweet, loves to snuggle and LOVES to have his tummy rubbed. He’s also a bit mischievous .. he likes to knock down Halloween wall decorations and on occasion he likes to knock the top of his water fountain over so that mom has a big mess to clean up when she gets home.
Groot’s mom is an addict in recovery, with just got to a year sober on 12/02/25. She is dedicating her life to helping people like herself get out of their struggles. Groot has always been her biggest emotional support, as well as his brother Vision’s best friend. These two have spent their entire lives together and love each other just as much as she loves them.
Groot was having difficulty urinating and needed to see a vet ASAP!!! we knew from past experience this was going to be costly. Furry Funding couldn’t stand to see the poor kitty suffer, so we got him into Slaton Vet and with many rounds of medication and expressing his bladder and flushing it, he is now home and has recovered. Groot’s owner said ” I am just insanely grateful for even the hope and chance. Finding your foundation truly is a blessing”
