A local mom reached out to Furry Funding on Nextdoor because her daughter’s cat, Spatz had just had a Urethrotomy surgery at Banfield Hospital 3 weeks ago and now is unable to urinate again and would die if not treated immediately. Banfield said it was scar tissue and was unwilling to help. They maxed out their credit cards getting the issue taken care of initially. They were able to get the cat into Slaton Vet and empty the bladder. A new surgery was scheduled, but they didn’t have the money to cover it. This truly took a village. The community chipped in and Furry Funding covered a part of it, and Slaton Vet provided a discount. Once the surgery was done, it was stated that Banfield had not done the surgery correctly.
