Poppy became very sick and needed emergency surgery. She had a bad case of Pyometra. This is a serious situation since the pus that forms in the uterus has nowhere to go, and so the uterus rapidly fills with this toxic pus. These dogs go downhill rapidly, eventually go into septic shock, and often die within 4-5 days of the onset of signs. Poppy was one of the lucky ones. Her owner got her to Angel’s Vet Clinic which Furry Funding works with. We were able to raise $1,285 toward her surgery. The good news is she is recovering at home and is doing well. Happy life Poppy..
