Kiki is a 6 yr old Yorker/Terrier mix. She belonged to a woman who passes away and was placed with a temporary foster family. Because she was so sweet and the best companion, Kiki found her forever home. Kiki was playing with a young puppy the family didn’t realize it was old enough to mate. Kiki became pregnant. An emergency C-section was needed to save Kiki and the 2 pups she carried. The owner was unable to afford the cost of the estimates she received and was turned away from over 20 veterinarians because she couldn’t pay. She was desperate for help to save her dog when she was told about Matilija Vet. Dr. Bailey offered his help knowing payment was difficult and treated the family with respect and kindness. C-section was performed resulting in a loss of one puppy but saving the other one, as well as Kiki’s life. During the procedure, Kiki was also spayed. We were able to pay $500 towards Kiki’s care and are hoping our village can help us raise the money for Kiki. Thank you Dr. Bailey
