Warwick is only 2½ years old and was adopted from a shelter, finally getting the chance at the loving home he deserved. He’s a gentle but fearful little guy who is still learning to trust the world around him.
While out on a walk, a stranger attempted to pick him up. Startled and frightened, Warwick panicked and ran into the street, where he was tragically hit by a car. When we got the call, Warwick was at Horizon Veterinary Hospital fighting for his life. He had one collapsed lung and another severely bruised lung. The veterinarians believed his prognosis was good, he just needed more time in intensive care.
His owner had already spent $4,500 trying to save him, but the ongoing emergency treatment was going to cost several thousand dollars more. Furry Funding stepped up and helped with another day of intensive care and then Warwick’s owners brought him home and continued the oxygen and thankfully and miraculously Warwick survived and is home getting better every day.Warwick had already overcome so much in his short life, we were grateful we could help, but we can’t continue to help without donations from you. Please help us give animals like this sweet rescue dog the chance they deserve.
