Dog Days Search and Rescue was contacted by a ranch owner in Fillmore about a lost dog seen wandering on her ranch. She catches sight on him at night on her security camera and sent Dog Days the footage and they noticed he wasn’t alone. He was being stalked by coyotes. They had to act fast. The team set a trap and waited, however he didn’t go in. The next day, a local resident a few miles away posted in a local Fillmore facebook page that he had been hanging out all night and the morning. Karen from All Dogs Rule raced over and was able to catch him. He was tired, and sore, and very thin. Dog Days rushed out to rescue him. He is sweet, young, and extremely handsome. They named him Philly. He was taken to Ventura County Animal Services to be logged in case he had a family that was looking for him. No owners came for him, so he was officially put up for adoption. Thanks to Ventura County Animal Services and Dog Days Search and Rescue, this handsome boy has now been adopted and will have a happy life.
