This is Lady who is a 10-year-old Pit Bull who has so many terrible things happen to her health, that it is a miracle she is still alive.
She has been the pet of Josh since she was a puppy. They were homeless and now are housed. When Lady was 3, she got Valley Fever and became blind. She adjusted to that and 3 years ago she had ACL surgery. It was botched and she developed a secondary infection which resulted in her losing a back leg. Again, she adjusted to being a tripod.
Now she has a lump behind her ear on the neck and her vet wants to aspirate it, take x-rays and do blood work to see what is now going on. She is having trouble standing on her back leg, so they want to see what is going on.
She had an appointment at East Ventura Vet who has been taking care of her since she was a puppy. The great news is the lump is not cancer. She was given antibiotic cream and the vet determined that her legs are not getting worse. if the lump gets bigger, they may have to remove it, but for now all is good.
