Update: Tonka saw our vet last week and is scheduled to have his tumor removed on July 22nd. The cost is $1,000. This is such a deal. Every other vet was well over $1,500. Please donate to help get Tonka’s tumor removed.
This is Tonka, she is a 9-year-old Bernedoodle, Tonka, urgently needs surgery to remove and biopsy a growth on her front paw that has recently begun bleeding and causing her pain. She is struggling to walk on it. The cost of the exam, surgery, and biopsy is expected to exceed $1,000, which is more than her family can afford.
Last year, the wife’s job was eliminated due to federal budget cuts just one month after they welcomed a new baby. Despite months of searching, she has been unable to find steady employment. Tonka’s dad is a 5th-grade teacher trying to support the family and they have exhausted all their financial resources. They are still paying off a previous veterinary bill for Tonka’s mammary tumor removal and spay surgery.
