Cruz had already had a hard life at only a year old. He had strangles when he was younger. Unfortunately, he developed joint swelling and pain and he was unable to open his jaw and yelps in pain. Furry Funding was able to get him to Slaton Vet to get a diagnoses of the issue. The doctor suspects an underlying auto immune issue and put him on a dosage of prednisone. The prednisone helped and he was his puppy self again. Over the months Cruz’s owner has tried to ween him off the prednisone, but the issues return, so Cruz remains on prednisone.
